Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub | Original Shea, $6.59
As an unfortunate side effect of feeling under the weather, this week has been a pretty long one for me.  After three different doctor's appointments, I was in desperate need of a little pampering!  So on a recent trip to the grocery store, I popped over to the beauty aisle to have a quick peek for anything interesting that could supply a proper pick-me-up.

While looking, I came across the Tree Hut Original Shea Sugar Body Scrub.  As I've never tried a sugar scrub, I thought it might be just the thing to help get my skin back in shape after being poked, prodded, and exposed to dry doctor offices.  And at less than $7 for 18 oz., I figured I didn't have anything to lose!

The first thing you notice is obviously the scent.  The mixture of shea butter, almond, and caramel is absolutely divine!  The scrub smells like something you might drizzle on your pancakes at breakfast!  However, despite the strong scent in the jar, very little is left on your skin, which is perfect for those who don't like their products to be heavily perfumed.

You also notice that there are two different types of granules which really helps to properly exfoliate the skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth.  The product is nice and thick and applies well.  I definitely suggest a good sized dollop for each limb to make sure that you don't miss any tricky spots!  I would only suggest using tools to apply and work with the product on problem areas like knees, ankles, and elbows.

As a first sugar scrub, I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed, and it makes me giddy for shower time!  Plus, Tree Hut's products are made in the USA, and are not tested on animals!  For a grocery store buy, there are so many positives and I definitely think that it is a budget-friendly way to dip your toes (and everything else!) in the sugar scrub waters!

Have you tried the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub? What scrubs do you turn to when your skin needs that extra pampering?

  1. This sounds like a great buy! especially since it's not tested on animals! Going to the doctor's is definitely annoying! I hope you'll have a better week this week! xx

    1. I really love products that are natural and not tested on animals! Especially if they really do what they claim!

I am so tired of seeing doctors, I just want to scream some days! I figure it all has to pass eventually, right? Just hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks for the sweet wishes! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this to be a good week, too! Hoping your week is absolutely fantastic, as well! What is the weather like where you are? xx

    2. Hi Megan! We've been having typical Taiwan summer weather these days - low to mid 30s Celsius. And we've been getting a few strong afternoon showers. Well, I say showers, but they're more like mini thunderstorms! It's quite exciting...as long as you don't go out, that is :P

    3. Sounds like we're having similar weather! Does it get humid where you are? It's unbearable here sometimes! Feels like you step outside into a warm bath! Won't be long before we're in the low to mid 40s here. Definitely not looking forward to that! Does it ever get that hot there? xx

    1. Yay! I can't wait to read another person's take and review on it! I'll be on the lookout for when you post about it! It seriously has one of the most divine smells, so I am right there with you on it! I used to be sort of blah about having to take a shower, but now I can't wait to get in just so I can use it! It's become a staple in my routine! xx
