Blog Collaboration | Seven for the Rainbow

Hello, beauties! I hope you all have had a fantastic week so far. Today, I'm coming to you with something really special! For a few weeks now, I've been discussing doing a blog collaboration with the sweet Daphne from Daffnee.com. So we decided to team up and host one with five other fabulous beauty bloggers.

The premise is that each of us pick a color of the rainbow, swapping out indigo for pink, and we then pick five of our favorite products from our color to share with our readers. Well, lovelies, that time is now! I picked pink, an old favorite of mine, and I've got some lush products that I think you'll all just drool over. I know I do! So, let's get started, shall we?

five-pink-products, revlon, lancome, mac-cosmetics, lush-cosmetics

1. Revlon Nail Enamel in Girly, $4.99

At a recent pop over to the drugstore, I had a naughty little peek down the makeup aisle, even though I shouldn't, and this beauty caught my eye. It was love at first sight! I have an addiction to nail polishes that have some sort of effect, and so a glittery treat like this Revlon Nail Enamel in Girly is right up my alley (wanted to say 'street', but I refrained).

The base is a gorgeous lavender pink that is perfect for spring (or any season, if you are me!), and the glitter gives the polish a fantastic, glimmering, speckled egg look that gets frequent longing looks from me throughout the day. It takes a couple of coats to properly build the polish, but when you're through, the color and effect is spectacular!

2. Lancome Juicy Tube in Miracle, $18.00

Alright, I admit it.  I'm a bit behind when it comes to certain trendy makeup, so it wasn't until last Christmas that I finally took the plunge and bought a set of Lancome Juicy Tubes. I wanted to see what all the hype was about, and I'm glad I did because these glosses are fabulous!

Miracle is a sexy, sheer hot pink with a touch of sparkle to it, and it makes my lips look so lush. Definitely stare worthy! The formula is nice and thick, which I like, but it may not be a winner for other people, so I'd keep that in mind if you were looking to purchase it. Stay tuned as I plan to do a full write up of my whole Juicy Tubes collection soon!

3. MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix, $22.00

I had never ventured into MAC blushes until last year when I received this pink stunner as a prezzie. For a first dip into the world of MAC blushes, I've been absolutely in love. I'd been dreaming of the perfect sexy, hot pink blush for summer, and Dollymix doesn't disappoint! The color is so gorgeous and easily buildable. You can wear just a touch for a day running errands, or you can throw on a nice, bright swipe over the apples of your cheeks for a night at the club! Definitely recommend.

4. MAC Matte Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum, $16.00

This summer, bright, candy lips are on trend, and since I wanted to keep up, I headed over to the MAC store to see what my eyes could see. I asked one of the lovely girls at the counter what pretty pink she would pick, and her immediate response was to pull out this nearly neon pink for me to try. I was a little intimidated, but I let her slap it on me and I am so glad I did!

This lipstick makes me feel like an utter star when I wear it. It is like an instant confidence boost, and I walk into any room lips first! I was told that this is one of their bestsellers, and they can hardly keep it in stock, and I can see why. Keep your eyes peeled to this here blog as I plan to do a full review of Candy Yum Yum in the very near future!

5. LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Bubblegum, $9.95

I don't know how I lived without this little beauty in my life! The LUSH Lip Scrub in Bubblegum has such a sugary sweet scent, which, as you know from my candle haul post, is an instant win for me. And, of course, the taste is exactly like that of pretty, pink bubblegum and billowy, blue cotton candy. If it wasn't for cosmetic use, I think I could sit and just eat the whole jar! It keeps my lips in great condition for moisturizing, and it makes me feel like a kid again with just one whiff.

So there you have it, my loves! My favorite pinkie pie products! Don't forget to hop, skip, and jump over to the other blogs in the collaboration to see the full rainbow of products that just might become some of your next faves.

What are your fave pink products? Which color products do you own the most of?

  1. I knew you'd go crazy with your pinks! And....besides the nail polish (which is gorgeous!), you're definitely loyal to your hot pinks! Candy Yum Yum looks really pretty, not exactly a color I'd wear, but really really pretty! You should do a full review on it! And the LUSH lipscrub, I swear I eat at least half of whatever I'm applying to my lips...and then I have to scoop out more....I should just eat sugar.

This was fun, we should totally discuss what we want to do for next time! xx
