LUSH Cosmetics Fresh Face Mask | Love Lettuce, $6.95
Hello, beauties! Before we get started, I wanted to give you a heads up on an exciting guest post coming up for you on Monday from the fabulous Daphne over at Subgenre of a Dream. I've read through it and it is amazing! If you are a coral lover, you're going to want to pop back over here Monday morning to have a look. Today, however, I'm bringing you a review on a product that I haven't been able to get enough of lately. Ever since that LUSH haul from last week, I've been up to my eyeballs in products from LUSH Cosmetics and this one has been such a joy to use.

I've never been a face mask girl, but I've wanted to start. Growing up, I always loved seeing girls in movies and television who went to sleepovers and did makeovers with face masks, but for some reason I never thought to do one myself. So when I went into LUSH with my huge shopping list, I had several face masks on it, hoping to see what the hype was all about. The sales associate steered me towards Love Lettuce, and I have absolutely loved using it!

LUSH Cosmetics Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask is a gorgeous natural face mask meant to help revitalize dry, flaky skin. With lavender to soothe, crushed almond shells for exfoliation, and seaweed to moisturize and nurture, this mask not only works fabulously, but it smells gorgeous! I've enjoyed applying it at night, breathing in the calming lavender, and then hopping in the shower to rinse it off before heading to bed. So, not only does it soothe the skin, it calms the mind, which is a huge plus for someone like me who has massive anxiety.

As much as I liked using Love Lettuce, I'm not sure it was quite right for my particular skin type. While I do have dry, flaky areas, I also have really oily bits, too. When I would rinse it off, my skin would feel lush, no pun intended, for a few minutes, but it would then dry out so much if I didn't slap on loads of moisturizer.

The only other negative I'd attribute to it is just how fast it goes bad compared to a lot of their other products. If you get it freshly made, it will last for three weeks. If you happen to get one that is a few days old, well, you'd better rush to finish it.  Each tub has about seven uses, so using it every one to two days should ensure that you make it through before it expires. And don't forget to keep it in the fridge!

While I'm not sure if I'll purchase it again, I definitely recommend giving it a try. For only seven or eight uses, the price is a touch steep, but when you factor in that it's because of all the fresh ingredients, it makes the cost worth it. And since it does last almost a month, seven dollars is less than a fast food meal, and the end product is much better for you, I think!

In the end, Love Lettuce smells fantastic, feels amazing, and has benefits for both mind and body! If this isn't your style, LUSH has loads of other masks that might be more up your alley, and hopefully I'll be trying those out soon.

Have you ever used Love Lettuce?  What about LUSH's other Fresh Face Masks? Do you have a favorite you'd suggest I try next?

  3. This is my favourite fresh face mask that LUSH do. It's just a rush to use the entire tub before it expires as I can't really justify putting a face mask on my dry skin so often. I have the same problem that my skin is dry but I have an oily t-zone. So, I tend to use this only on my dry problem areas and then apply a different mask/product to my oily skin. Simple! x

    2. I don't know if you can get your hands on Soap & Glory, so might have to nab one foe your package but the Fab Pore Facial Peel is ideal to pair with this.

    3. Nope, it doesn't look like we get it here! I was looking for the Breakfast Scrub, too, and they don't have that here, either! Always been sort of sad that they don't actually carry the full line here in the US! x

  4. I've never tried the face masks from LUSH yet, they're really expensive here in Taiwan (app. $13/14) and let's face it, I'm not much of a facial girl. But as my pores seem to be clogging up like they're partying the night away, I feel like I should be in search for a good deep cleansing mask. Know any good ones? xx

    1. Wow, that is really expensive! You know, I don't know any good masks as I don't usually do them. Adrienne would probably know as she's a bit of a skincare junkie! She always has great suggestions for those sorts of things! x

  5. Can't wait to try LUSH products! Won't be going to Atlanta any time soon, so it will be a while before I can shop there :(

Love that the product has to be refrigerated and has a fast expiration date! That means it is FRESH!!!!

    1. Yes, it is super fresh! And because of that, you can only buy it in stores! It's one of the few products they won't ship to you! And it always feels fantastic going on because it is nice and cold! Definitely pick one up when you can! x

  6. Oh I love Lush products, although I defiantly think its abit of a trail and error with their face products to find one that is really tailored to your skin type.

    - A cheeky lush shopping trip is to go in twords the end of the day and they often ration their samples out through the day but if their is bulk left over your most likely to get a couple extra

    1. I agree about the trial and error. Though, with their products it feels like you really don't mind making mistakes because you still get to experience such great quality products!

I didn't know that about their samples! That is a fantastic tip! Thank you so much for sharing it! I'll remember that next time I pop in to the shop! x

  7. This is surprisingly less expensive than I would have thought. I love most LUSH products, and I too have been wanting to try out a mask so maybe this is something I should check out!

    1. It really is a fabulous price when you get down to brass tacks! Considering all the fresh, ethically sourced ingredients, it could stand to be much more expensive, but they've kept the cost low for this one! I definitely recommend trying out their face masks! I can't wait to pick up a different one next time I'm in the shop! x
