Bodycology Deodorant Body Spray | After Dark, $3.47

DISCLAIMER: This post contains products sent to me for free by a brand or PR company in exchange for a review. However, all words and opinions are firmly my own, as always.

As the summer days begin to give way to the cool breezes of autumn, we start to trade in our bright, summer scents for warmer, more mysterious fragrances. Musks and woody perfumes rule those long nights, and are perfect to be paired with your favorite chunky sweaters. Today, I'm bringing you a gorgeously scented body spray from Bodycology that I was lucky enough to receive a sample of, and is sure to be a staple through the upcoming cooler months.

As always, regardless of whether I was sent a product or bought it myself, you will get my totally honest opinion. I take reviewing very seriously, especially if I've been sent something, as credibility and honesty with all of you is so important to me. So with that being said, let's get started!

Bodycology is a brand that I've been using for many years. As a woman on a budget, I've found their products to be of high quality and with good scent payoff similar to more expensive brands like Bath and Body Works. It's not unusual for me to take a trip down the beauty aisle to have a few whiffs of their latest fragrances. Recently, Bodycology launched a line of Deodorant Body Sprays featuring three of their best selling scents, After Dark, Sweet Petals, and Exotic Cherry Blossom. While these cans might look an awful lot like a feminine version of Axe, my experience has shown that it is anything but!

Bodycology's Deodorant Body Spray in After Dark is a fantastic fragrance. It has notes of amber, vanilla, and musk, which gives it quite a sultry, feminine appeal. Scent-wise, it reminds me of Hilary Duff's With Love perfume, which had base notes of amber and musk, as well. After Dark's staying power is fantastic without being overly cloying, which means you'll be catching hints of it all day without feeling like you've overdone it. Plus, it's great for on the go travel. It has a top that you can twist to lock and unlock, so no sudden surprise spritzes in your gym bag or suitcase!

I'm the type of person who loves to wear a bit of fragrance even when lounging around the house, and I've been quick to grab for After Dark lately instead of my pricier perfumes. And at less than a fiver per bottle, you can indulge without worrying about breaking the bank. It's lighter on the wallet, and on the skin. Total bargain!

The only sort of "negative" I have is that you can tell from the packaging that this doesn't feel marketed towards women past college age. However, the scent would imply otherwise as it does give off a more mature vibe that I don't see your average middle schooler pulling off. It's such a small qualm, though. Overall, I'd definitely suggest this product if you're looking for a nice budget fragrance this autumn.

Have you ever tried any products by Bodycology? What is your favorite scent?
