Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel - Review

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Face Peels, $88.00
Hello, beauties! Happy Friday! It's time to relax a little and really settle into this luxurious autumn weather. The days are cool, the nights even cooler, and the leaves are finishing their turn from green to shades of orange, yellow and red. It's time to pull out our much neglected hats, scarves and sweaters, and wear lovely plums, browns and reds on our faces and fingers.

Also with the crisp, autumn air comes changes to our skin. The cold and harsh winds can leave our faces looking dried out and lackluster. Not to mention the sudden redness! Unless I'm looking jolly-cheeked like Santa, I can do without redness, thank you very much. That's where today's product comes in!

Murad Oil Control Mattifier - Review

Murad Oil Control Mattifier, $39.50
I have combination skin, and I don't know about others of you with skin like mine, but I still get massively oily sometimes. One minute my skin will be doing just fine, and then WHAM! My skin will become a slick, shiny mess. In the past, I'd immediately go wash my face to try and balance it back out, but some days my skin just wasn't having it.

Then I went for a Murad facial, and my skincare routine changed. After giving my skin a good once over, and my face a full, proper clean, the aesthetician suggested I try the Murad Oil Control Mattifier. From there out, this little baby has been a life saver on many a difficult skin day.

Bath and Body Works Haul

bath-and-body-works-haul

Before we get too far into the cooler months, I wanted to show the last of my summer hauls. Bath and Body Works is one of my favorite stores to go in to. The products are always fantastic, and our local store is huge with wall to wall lotions, potions, and smelly goods. In fact, the mall has TWO Bath and Body Works stores inside! One on each floor! Apparently, we're very serious about our bath and body products.

Growing up, there was this sort of stigma that B&BW was just for kids and teens, and no adult would be caught dead wearing a little Cucumber Melon or Sweet Pea. But over the years, the vibe and the packaging has "grown up" making it so that us adults have no shame when popping in to buy things. Plus, they have enough candles, reed diffusers, plug-ins and other sundry home items to give Yankee Candle a run for their money!

Over the summer, Bath and Body Works was having an extensive sale, so I thought then would be the time to stock up on a couple of items. I'd picked up a few lotions, so I was on the prowl for fragrances and things to make my home smell amazing. And I'd say I pulled a pretty good haul. Take a look!

The Starting Off Project | Round Up

the-starting-off-project-round-up

Now that The Starting Off Project has officially come to a close, I wanted to do a round up for anyone who might have skipped a week and wanted to catch up on what they had missed in one convenient place. During #theSOproject, we talked about everything from skincare to makeup tools. We learned about different types of beauty products, what it does, how to apply it, and which brands are worth buying. It was fantastic reading what other bloggers had to say and what their favorites were! While there were some products that were clear blogger favorites, there were some newly introduced gems, too. Now, without further adieu, here are ten weeks of The Starting Off Project collected in one post just for you.
