We're heading into the holiday season, and that means loads of festive decorations, yummy food, snazzy prezzies, and Christmas songs playing day in and day out. It also means the blogosphere is going to be filled to the brim with gift guides, outfit ideas, "best of" lists, and recipes for all sweets imaginable. It is truly one of the most incredible times of the year!

One of the best Christmas traditions is that of the advent calendar. In the UK, beauty advent calendars have been all the rage. So when Benefit Cosmetics released their advent calendar here in the US, I knew I had to snap it up! In honor of the holidays and beauty lovers everywhere, I'll be blogging about a few of the spoils from the Benefit Countdown to Love Advent Calendar through the month of December.

Join me this month as we get to sample some of the best products that Benefit has to offer. Today, let's kick off the holiday season with their blockbuster blush, CORALista!

CORALista is a gorgeous coral-pink blush with a touch of sexy shimmer. If you are a fan of NARS' Orgasm blush, CORALista is fairly similar in shade, but that is where the similarities end. Where Orgasm needs a light hand from the get go so as not to overdo the color, CORALista starts out light and can be worked up to a heavier pigment. So whether you want a subtle glow or a fabulous flush, this product can do both!

CORALista also has this amazing scent! I keep popping the blush open just to indulge in it! I'm used to lip products having a scent, and even some foundations, but I've never come across a blush with a gorgeous perfume like this one. And on the plus side, even though the blush is scented, once applied there is no scent at all. So if you aren't a fan of perfumed products, you might still thoroughly enjoy this one.

I found that CORALista was easy to apply with a large fluffy blush brush, and it was simple to control how much (or little) I wanted. And hours later it's still wearing like a dream. Also, compared to NARS' Orgasm, CORALista is a much better value. NARS blushers are $29.00 for .16 oz of product, but CORALista is a dollar less for more than double the size!

CORALista looks amazing on my pale skin, and I'm going to love wearing it come summer. I'd definitely recommend this one for other pale ladies, or as an alternative to NARS' Orgasm. I can absolutely see why CORALista is a beloved Benefit blush, and it's made me keen to try more of their cheek colors!

Are you a fan of Benefit's CORALista blush? What is your favorite coral blush to wear?

  1. I won't be getting the advent calender. I feel like it's way too much money for what it is.

    1. I can understand that. I got it because I've been lusting over the UK advent calendars for so long now. Also, I wanted to try loads of Benefit products in one go! It's definitely been a great primer into the brand! xx

  3. Coralista is probably my favourite Benefit blush. I've hit pan on mine that I only bought early this year as I wear it so much! Hopefully you'll have a little sample of Sugarbomb in there too, which is also lovely. It just reminds me of Fallout 3 too. ;) xo

    1. I can absolutely understand why you would have hit pan on it! It's simply gorgeous! I've hit pan on my NARS Orgasm, and I think I'll be picking this one up instead of getting a new one of the other!

No sign of Sugarbomb yet, but I'll be crossing my fingers. Also, HAHAHA, of course it would remind you (and me) of Fallout 3! Such nerds we are! xx
