Benefit Cosmetics Ultra Plush Lip Gloss | Dandelion, $16.00
Vampy lips and berry hues may be the trend during colder months, but for daily wear something a little more demure never goes out of style. And while a matte pout is a winter staple, sometimes a fuss-free gloss is more our speed. Today we'll take a look at a lovely everyday gloss that is sure to be perfect no matter the season.

The Benefit Cosmetics Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Dandelion is a pearly, peachy pink gloss perfect for everyday wear. With its sheerly pigmented tint, there is just enough of that sweet pink pop to give you a nice, natural look without overdoing it. As for application, I like to apply my glosses a touch thick to really give my lips a good sheen. Even with a sizeable coat, this gloss is not sticky. It also has a fairly decent wear time, and even after eating I find there is still a touch left on my lips.

Personally, I'm partial to glosses that are quite pigmented, so Dandelion is probably not a gloss I would have typically bought for myself. With that said, it is still really lovely. It does settle into the fine lines of your lips, but there isn't much you can do about that. As with most lip products, you'll want to exfoliate really well before applying. I found that this gloss does eventually dry your lips out, so you don't want to give it a head start by not exfoliating properly first.

The gloss itself has this light, yummy scent of peaches which I love! When you apply Dandelion, you'll catch whiffs of it from time to time, and you'll feel transported right into a gorgeous, summery orchard full of the juicy fruit. If you're not into glosses with a flavor, don't worry about this one. While the gloss is definitely scented, there is no strong flavor to accompany it. So if you're hoping the gloss will taste of peaches, too, you'll be a bit disappointed.

In the end, I think this is a really lush gloss. Not my particular shade choice, but a gorgeous gloss nonetheless!

  1. I got this free in Decembers issue of Elle and I'm absolutely IN LOVE with it. Its so pretty and perfect for everyday! I never leave without mine now. The only downside is the price.. €16 for a lipgloss?:(
Its inevitable that'll i'll eventually make the purchase, but I won't like doing it. I'm sure I'll get over it though when i have it in my hands haha!

    1. It is lovely, isn't it? And, yes, it is a bit pricey for a lipgloss. But if it's of a decent size and it lasts you a good while, then it doesn't seem so bad! And if you are getting loads of use out of it, the price will feel totally justified! Or so I tell myself, anyway! xx

    1. It is a beauty! I wouldn't recommend licking this one off purely as it has no real flavor to tell of. It's mostly a scented experience, so I'd leave this one on so you can smell it all day! xx

  3. I got one of these as part of a birthday present and really like it, although I tend to layer it over a colour as otherwise it looks really pale on me! It smells so good, and the Coralista one is really nice too :)
