Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain | Sweetheart - Review + Swatch

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart, $8.99
Even though we're making our way into winter now, I've been having a really hard time putting away my bright lipsticks. While most people have been swapping out their bold shades for vampy berries, I keep opting for shocking statement hues. Wearing them just makes me so happy and really gives my pale skin a little oomph! One such lippy I've been wearing loads has been Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart. It's a fun, snappy hot pink perfect for fellow fair ladies like myself!

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart is a fantastically moisturizing chubby stick similar to those by Clinique and Bourjois. True to the color of the packaging, it applies smoothly with a touch of sheen, and leaves a gorgeous stain behind that lessens the harshness of the hot pink tint. While it does smudge here and there, it only needs to be touched up every few hours or after a large meal, which makes it great for a night on the town.

If you're worried about needing a lip balm under it, let me settle your fears now. As long as you exfoliate beforehand, Sweetheart will keep your lips nice and moist, and will pull double duty. It also has a slight minty scent reminiscent to a lighter version of Burt's Bees lip balms. So go ahead and reapply as often as you like! It's not totally sheer, so if you're looking for a shade that builds up well, this is it.

Sweetheart is such a gorgeous, wearable shade, so leave your eyes neutral and let your lips shine! It looks amazing with fair skin, and I can imagine it looking fantastic on darker skin, as well. Medium skin tones might want to give it a swatch first as this shade could go either way depending on warm or cool undertones. Also, make sure you are well exfoliated as the color does grab onto and bring emphasis to dry bits.

I find myself reaching for this balm stain so often! The packaging is so sleek and pretty, and always catches my eye, and the color makes me feel so confident when I put it on. It looks a bit like I've been eating really bright berries or a sweet popsicle, and it's just so sensuous. If you haven't tried anything from Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable line, you should definitely give this one a look!

Do you have Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart? What other shades from the line are you enjoying? Are you wearing balm stains into the winter?
