CHARMING CHAT | HAVE YOU EVER HAD A REACTION FROM MAKEUP?

charming-chat-southern-charmed-blog

Hello, dahlings! Hope you are all having fabulous weekends! If you remember, last week I posted a review of Maybelline's Dream Nude Airfoam foundation, and in it I described the icky reaction my skin had to it. It wasn't the first time I'd ever had a reaction from makeup. Once as a teenager, I had such an icky reaction to makeup that I had to be on prescription medication! And I'm certain it won't be the last time my skin chooses to rebel against a product I apply to it.

So, this all got me to thinking, have any of you ever had a reaction from makeup? Bumps, rashes, burning, itching, what happened and which product made you feel like you had gone from Beauty to the Beast? Have a little therapy, get it all out, and tell me your stories!

Stay gorgeous (and totally reaction free!), dollfaces!

  1. I've recently started using concealer and I got the very much hyped collection one, and whenever I use it under my eyes they sting like mad and hurt all day. I have stopped using it because I don't know if its the product or just putting things on my under eyes!

  2. I'm not acne prone and the MAC F&B gave me some pimples and a rash after three uses.

  3. I had a makeover at the bobbi brown counter and the crème foundation gave me a massive Boil on the end of my nose! It was massive & required treatment from GP dr to go away. The MUA insisted I had dry skin when actually it its oily combo and drier in winer but not dry. bought the oil free version and avoided putting it on my nose and am ok

  5. I've never had a hugely bad reaction to any makeup but I've had some pretty really horrible ones to skincare. I suppose that's why I'm so careful with it now!

  6. Great post! I have actually had a reaction to the older Covergirl foundations that had Noxema in them. I broke out in horrible splotches all over my face!!!!!

  7. I consider myself to be really lucky to not have ever had a reaction to any make up. But I do have really sensitive skin that dries out the minute I forget to care for it. The thing that my skin hates the most is changing products in my skin care. But if I stick with my usuals everything is good.
