Birchbox, $10/month

February is winding down, and that means that our subscription boxes are finally hitting our doorsteps. It also means it's time to take a peek into the newest Birchbox! This month, Birchbox paired up with US Weekly to bring us all the gorgeous products that help our favorite celebs get red carpet ready. From top to toes, Birchbox has us covered. Let's take a look!

 Bain de Terre Passion Flower Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner | Full-Size, $12.00 & $13.50 (Sample, $1.51 & $1.70)
After seeing the sneak peek preview video for this month's box, I was hoping these beauties would show up in mine. As someone with color-treated hair, I'm always on the look out for new and better products to get the most out of my hair color. The Bain de Terre Passion Flower Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner is paraben-free and formulated with argan and monoi oils to help nourish your tresses. It also boasts a gorgeous floral scent that will remind you of a luxurious spa treatment.

I liked this pair well enough, but as a dyed redhead, I'm not sure that it worked any better at keeping my locks from fading than any other product for color treated hair. Plus, the formula was a bit watery which meant I had to use a fair amount to really get my thick mane clean. However, if you've got dyed brown or blonde hair, or hair on the thinner side, I think this would be a fantastic product.

 Caudalie S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue | Full-Size, $34.00 (Sample, $15.87)
As someone who has insomnia, I'm no stranger to puffy, tired eyes and dark circles. I've tried a number of products to get my eyes to look more awake and have yet to find one that works as good as advertised. If you've been keeping up with the blog lately, you'll know that one of my beloved kitties has been very sick. This has led to loads of worried tears and sleepless nights.

After a particularly bad night, I awoke with super puffy, red eyes. I figured I'd give the Caudalie S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue a shot, and within a minute or so my eyes looked normal and refreshed! I was super impressed. After several days of use, my dark circles were reduced and my under eyes were hydrated and smooth. A clear winner in any book!

OPI Sheer Tints in 'I Can Teal You Like Me' | Full-Size, $9.00 (Sample, $2.25)
I'll admit that I'm not sure what to think about this particular sample. The OPI Sheer Tints in 'I Can Teal You Like Me' is a tinted top coat that can be worn alone to give a sheer wash of color, or on top of a nail color of choice to create a cool color change effect.

I popped it on top of a medium, berry toned purple, and the blue tint turned the polish into a darker, even more intense purple, which is really cool. But alone, it makes my nails look like I've got frostbite. It also takes a lot of effort to remove, which is a bit of a pain. While I really like the concept, I'm not sure I could see myself buying a full-size bottle of this one.

Harney and Sons Tea Sachets in Paris and White Vanilla Grapefruit | Full-Size $9.60 (Box of 20) (Sample, $0.96)
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that in the past couple of months, I've become obsessed with tea. One of the first I ever tried was a cup of Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice. So needless to say, this little extra is just the sort of thing I love to see in my Birchbox.

While I really liked the White Vanilla Grapefruit (a bright, fruity flavor with a subtle hint of vanilla), I'm especially excited to try their Paris tea as it is described as fruit flavors with caramel. That's the type of flavor I love, and I plan to give it a brew soon to drink alongside some quality book reading!

TOTAL BOX VALUE: $22.29

Overall, this wasn't a bad box. And I was especially pleased with the value of the Caudalie S.O.S. Morning Eye Rescue. I can't wait to see what March's Birchbox will bring!

What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Are you interested in buying the full-size of any of these samples?
