LUSH Cosmetics Shower Scrub | Buffy - Review

LUSH Cosmetics Shower Scrub | Buffy, $11.95
As we deal with the colder, harsher weather of winter, our skin has new needs. Dryness and flakiness are common problems, so out come the exfoliators and deep moisturizers in the hopes of whipping our weather worn skin back in shape. Today I'm reviewing one product that has fast become a pampering time favorite and cold weather essential!

The LUSH Cosmetics Buffy Shower Scrub is a chunky bar packed with cocoa and shea butter for moisture, and ground rice, almonds and beans for exfoliation. When using it, you'll notice that it leaves a bit of oil on your skin that will keep you moisturized well after you step out of the shower. Just be careful when you scrub with it near your feet as those oils can make things quite slippery!

While I get that LUSH's Porridge is a soap and not a shower scrub, I find that I prefer Buffy over Porridge. Both are good for exfoliating, but Buffy doesn't have the same fallout from the exfoliating bits like Porridge does. I was constantly chasing the oats around my shower with Porridge, but with Buffy the ground rice, beans, and almonds are small and stick to your skin due to the oils so you can easily wash it all down the drain.

The oils were a bit strange to feel on my skin during my shower, but once I got out and properly dried off, my skin felt amazing! It's so moisturizing that you don't even need to apply any lotion afterward. I added a thin layer to really lock in the moisture, but it's totally unnecessary. I stay moisturized for hours with Buffy alone.

Buffy is a great two in one product with it's exfoliating and moisturizing properties, and I think that every LUSH lover needs to give this one a go. Out of all the LUSH products I've tried, this is the one I'll immediately run back out and buy after it's all used up. It is just that good!

Have you tried the Buffy bar? What is your fave product for exfoliating or moisturizing?
