It might only be March, but dreams of warmer days are just around the corner. And while we might still have cooler weather to contend with, it is never too early to start pulling out our brightest shades to get us into that springtime feel. Today I'm bringing you a fantastic lippy that will be perfect for the coming season, but is still versatile enough for these cold, late winter days.

The Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Brazen Berry is a gorgeous, bright deep fuchsia that wears well on most skin tones. Infused with honey nectar, this lipstick is remarkably moisturizing and has a lovely, glossy finish. Well pigmented, Brazen Berry wears for a couple hours before needing a top up. I wore it out to dinner Thursday night, and only had to give my lips a quick slick to get them back to their bright, purply glory!

I love how Brazen Berry feels on the lips, and it's nice to just be able to carry this around instead of my usual lipstick/lip balm duo. It also has a slightly perfumed scent (some have likened it to Play-Doh), but you can't smell it once applied, nor can you taste it if you lick your lips. To get the most out of this lipstick, you'll want to make sure to exfoliate your lips beforehand to get the smoothest finish.

And let me just gush over the packaging for a moment. So many lip bullets are plain black or metallic, but this baby is a blazing, see-through red acrylic! I can always find it in my bag or see it clearly when I'm rummaging through my drawer of lipsticks.

Brazen Berry is fantastic and I can't get enough of it. I pull it out and wear it like I would lip balm, but have the confidence to walk lips first into any room. It's just so stunning! I definitely recommend this one to people who might be a little nervous about wearing a bright colored lipstick as this one is bright without being too over the top.

And just for fun, here's a photo of my husband and I being silly after taking the product shots for today's post. He's just too darn cute sometimes! I'm lucky I married a guy who doesn't mind being a weirdo with me on occasion. He's definitely a good'un!

Have any of you picked up Maybelline's Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Brazen Berry? When do you start pulling out your bright shades for the year?
