LUSH Cosmetics R&B Hair Moisturizer, $22.95
Hello, beauties! Harsh winter weather can wreak havoc on our hair, and with this winter trending towards one of the coldest in recent memory, our tresses could benefit from a little extra TLC. Whether you're fighting the frizzies or adding back some much needed moisture stripped away by the brutal wind, sometimes a hair treatment becomes a necessary expense. Today, we'll be taking a look at one such treatment from LUSH, and seeing whether it's worth its pretty pennies!

LUSH Cosmetics' R&B Hair Moisturizer is a thick, creamy, leave-in treatment packed with goodies such as avocado butter, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, cupuacu butter, and candelilla wax meant to help nourish and tame dry or curly hair. And with a scent of orange blossom and jasmine, your locks will be left smelling like a gorgeous, tropical paradise with every use. It's also vegan, so you'll be doing something good for our animal friends, as well as your mane.

I have very long, thick hair with ends in desperate need of moisture, so I'm always on the lookout for treatments meant to help get my lengths in shape. However, I found myself very underwhelmed with R&B. I've tried it on dry hair, after conditioner on damp hair, and in place of conditioner, and it never seemed to revive my hair as advertised. In place of conditioner, it left my hair feeling very dry and tangled. Using it after conditioner on damp hair, it didn't feel much different than using my conditioner alone. And applying R&B to dry hair only served to make my hair feel heavy and a bit oily. On the plus side, my hair always smells amazing with every use!

Perhaps R&B just isn't right for my particular hair type. A cursory browse of the LUSH website shows that R&B is rated highly and has loads of glowing comments from people with curly or kinky hair, so it is very possible that this treatment is just wrong for me. If you have curly or kinky hair, I'd definitely recommend trying a sample before making a final decision. If you have pin straight hair like me, though, R&B might require a pass. Ah, well. Seems I'm still on the prowl for my winter hair savior!

Have you tried LUSH's R&B Hair Moisturizer? What is your favorite dry hair treatment?

Stay gorgeous, peaches!
