Birchbox | February 2015 - Review

Birchbox, $10/month
Hello, beauties! When you think about February, the first thing that comes to most people's mind is that little love filled holiday that can cause as much anxiety as it does excitement. But what about the other relationships in our lives? Don't they deserve a little love, too? Birchbox recognizes that some of our most loving relationships come from our nearest and dearest babes, and have honored the bonds of sisterhood with a Friendship themed box featuring loads of samples perfect for pamper night with your girls. Let's have a look!

• Gilchrist and Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash | Full-Size, $15.00 (Sample, $2.54)
Gilchrist and Soames has been on my radar ever since I received a sample of their London Collection Body Lotion in my Birchbox last March. So I was thrilled to spy their Spa Therapy Body Wash in this month's mailing. The aqualeaf and citrus scent is gorgeous and invigorating, while the extract of Japanese sea wrack will leave your skin utterly nourished. A heavenly bathtime must-have!

• Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser | Full-Size, $22.00 (Sample, $1.65)
Even though I'm in my late 20s and well past the days of puberty, you'd never know it from looking at my acne-prone skin. I'm always looking for that wonder product that will finally help me get my skin under control, and after hearing nothing but good things about Juice Beauty, I'm excited to get such a generous sample of their Blemish Clearing Cleanser. Fingers crossed for good results!

• beautyblender Original beautyblender + Mini beautyblender blendercleanser Solid | Full-Size, $19.95 & $15.95 (Sample, $28.85)
Unless you've been living under a beauty rock, then you'll have no doubt heard about the cult classic beautyblender makeup sponge. Touted for giving a flawless, airbrushed finish to your foundation, the beautyblender is THE tool every beauty fanatic reaches for when applying their makeup. So imagine how my jaw dropped when I opened my box and found a full-size original beautyblender, plus a mini of their blendercleanser! Considering I only paid $10.00 for my Birchbox, I'd say I came away with a steal, and my makeup has never looked better.

• theBalm Read My Lips Lip Gloss in BAM! | Full-Size, $15.00 (Sample, $4.00)
These days theBalm is a brand on everyone's lips. From their famous Mary Lou-Manizer highlighting powder to their coveted eyeshadow palettes, theBalm is a staple on makeup wish lists. Having not delved into their lip products, I was glad to receive a small tube of their Read My Lips Lip Gloss in my Birchbox. It's minty, fruity scent and packs-a-punch dusty pink pigment makes this worthy for my everyday makeup bag.

• BeeKind Conditioner | Full-Size, $15.00 (Sample, $1.88)
When it comes to our toiletries, having ingredients that are kind to us as well as the environment is of utmost importance, and this conditioner ticks all the right boxes.  The BeeKind Conditioner is packed with natural goodies like honey, clover, and calendula, and formulated without parabens, phthalates, and artificial colors. Plus, with a portion of the profits from BeeKind products going towards supporting honey bees and sustainable pollination research, you can feel as good about your purchase as you do about your hair.

Overall, I'd say this is one of my best Birchboxes yet! I mean, can a full-size beautyblender really be beat? Aside from that clear gem of a winner, the other samples are great sizes for proper trials, and will be fun additions to future pamper sessions. This is one box that Birchbox truly knocked out of the park!
What did you get in your February Birchbox? Are any of these products on your wish list?

Stay gorgeous, peaches!
