Julep Nail Polish in Fifi, $14.00
Hello, beauties! As much fun as it is to wear bright colors on our tips and toes, sometimes there is nothing more lovely than a muted, demure shade. A gorgeous nude or soft pink can make our hands look more polished and make us feel more pulled together. Or perhaps our work environment calls for our nails to look a little more Grace Kelly and a little less Katy Perry. Today we'll be taking a peek at a delicate pink polish perfect for any occasion or dress code.

Julep's Nail Polish in Fifi is described as a "tea time pink crème". It can be worn sheer or semi-opaque depending on how many coats are applied. One will give you the lightest wash of pink while three gives you a more opaque coverage that reads more white without the severity. As with most sheer, neutral polishes, Fifi can be a bit tricky to work with, and needs time and attention to keep from looking streaky. Once on, it stays put for days without chipping if you use a decent bottom and top coat, meaning it has fairly low upkeep. Perfect for women on the go!

If you are looking for an understated pink polish to add to your collection, I'd definitely recommend giving Julep's Fifi a look. The formula is fantastic and I find the wand to be pretty easy to work with. I'm even a fan of Julep's slender bottles. Personally, this is probably a polish I won't reach for often as I feel like these sorts of off-white shades make my pale skin look a bit dull, but that doesn't make the polish itself bad. I imagine it looks especially gorgeous against medium to dark skin.

For a mid-price brand, Julep's Fifi is pretty good, and would be perfect for daily wear or as part of a french manicure. It's a website only shade, so if you are a fan of sweet pinks that go with everything, pop over and nab yourself a bottle!

Stay gorgeous, peaches!

  4. I love it. I think you will too once you try the polishes. They're all consistently one coat polishes, even the darkest colors. Which is a major plus for me.
