Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter | Crème Brulée - Review + Swatch

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter | Crème Brulée, $7.49
Hello, beauties! I don't know about y'all, but I'm a vibrant lipstick junkie. There is nothing like a statement lip to really make me feel put together. However, bold lip products require quite a bit of upkeep, and I'll be real with you, some days I just don't have time for all that! Instead, I want a simple lip that's easy enough to slap on in the car without a mirror or the need to clean up. Today, we'll be looking at one of my fave fuss-free lippies that should be in every girl's makeup go bag!

The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Crème Brulée is a warm, yellow based nude that works well on many light to medium skintones. Firmly between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm, Crème Brulée is pigmented enough to make your looks finished and polished whilst being sheer enough for easy application and your everyday neutral looks. A win for those whose makeup mantra is "less is more". It also helps keep your pout moisturized and can replace your chapstick altogether for those who don't have overly dry lips.

I love wearing Crème Brulée when I need a quick dab of makeup to run errands or to spend the day on the couch having a Netflix binge (hello, Pretty Little Liars!). It also warms up my cool complexion without looking dirty or orange which is a plus. However, it does move around on the lips leaving strange lines and patches, which you can see in the lip swatch above. Thin layers are your best bet to keep this shade looking it's best!

Also, be aware that the lipstick itself is very soft and buttery, meaning that it loses its shape and gets all over the tube every time you twist it up and down. So don't keep this in a warm place like a pocket unless you want to be scraping lipstick out of your jeans for the next century. Lipstick covered jeans are never in fashion.

If you're looking for an everyday nude that doesn't break the bank, I absolutely recommend you give Revlon's ColorBurst Lip Butter in Crème Brulée a go. Your wallet, and your kisser, will thank you for it!

Have you tried Revlon's ColorBurst Lip Butter in Crème Brulée? What is your favorite everyday nude lippie?

Stay gorgeous, peaches!
