When it comes to mint hued nail polishes, do you ever wish they'd smell minty fresh, too? If that thought has crossed through more heads than just mine, then you'll be thrilled to know that your dreams have come true. Blending a mint green polish with a hint of sweet peppermint, Revlon has expertly created the perfect varnish for candy cane lovers everywhere.

The Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish in Wintermint is a gorgeously layered mint green polish. Featuring both a metallic, semi-matte finish and a smattering of cerulean and silver glitter, Wintermint is the ideal polish for those who want loads of sparkle and dimension to their pastels. And, of course, it leaves a scrummy mint scent to your well-manicured talons that you'll be catching whiffs of for days to come.

Despite everything going on with this polish, it's utterly fuss-free when it comes to application and wear. One coat is really all that's needed to reach full opacity, and while it can look a bit streaky at first, it does dry fairly even. Plus, the glitter helps to add a lot of forgiveness. Because it's a metallic with glitter, it wears for a lot longer than most polishes, so if you are the kind of person who doesn't want to have to babysit her nails, this is one enamel you'll want in your collection. And if that wasn't enough, it's also a damn near perfect dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream at less than half the cost. Score!

Overall, I find Wintermint to be a stunner of a polish. My only criticism, and it's a small one, lies in the mint scent. It's lovely, but it's not a true mint scent like peppermint candy. It's got a slightly warmer tone, maybe a touch of vanilla, that makes it smell more like dinner mints than the cool mint of a peppermint patty. But that's a very personal quibble and may not make a bit of difference to anyone else. I definitely recommend giving this beauty a look if you're in the market for a year round mint green to add to your polish stash. Side note, I think I set a personal record for saying the word "mint" in one post. It's the little things, y'all.

Do you have Revlon's Parfumerie Nail Polish in Wintermint? What's your favorite mint green polish?
