Lancome Juicy Tubes | Berry Bold - Review + Swatch

Lancome Juicy Tubes | Berry Bold, $18.00
If you were a girl growing up in the 2000s, there was no lip gloss more coveted than the super chic and girly Lancome Juicy Tubes. I spent many a viewing of Mean Girls secretly jealous of Gretchen Wieners's Juicy Tubes lacquered lips, wishing I had some of that Toaster Strudel money to purchase my very own collection of that much wished for gloss. So when I became a big girl with money of my own and started dabbling in high end makeup for the first time, Lancome Juicy Tubes were top of my want list. And after finally giving them a whirl, I can happily confirm that they are just as amazing as my teenage self hoped they'd be.

I first took the plunge with the Lancome Juicy Tubes in Berry Bold, a sheer, bright, raspberry pink. Gorgeously girly, Berry Bold is perfect for giving those barely there makeup days a subtle, sexy pop. And since Lancome Juicy Tubes are packed with shea butter to help keep your lips supple and conditioned, this beauty will help you pare back your makeup bag while it doubles as balm and sheer gloss. And for me, anything that will help keep my purse less cluttered is an utter necessity as I tend to carry the entire contents of Sephora with me wherever I go.

As with most glosses, Berry Bold only lasts a couple of hours before needing to be touched up, and it definitely won't last through eating and drinking. But this feels so lovely on the lips that it won't feel like a chore to pop this out of your bag and reapply. It's also gorgeously thick and smooth giving you the ultimate pouty lip look. When it comes to gloss, I love it when they are gloopy and a bit sticky. I know that goes against the rules of beauty or something, but I'm weird like that. And Lancome Juicy Tubes are the ultimate in thick, glossy goodness!

With so many glosses out on the market, both high street and high end, it can be hard to choose which ones to buy. But the Lancome Juicy Tubes are the true OGs having been introduced in 2000 as the first gloss tubes in the biz. And their continued success has to count for something, right? Lancome Juicy Tubes are a great first step into the high end gloss waters, and are a must-have in any makeup stash.

Have you tried any of Lancome's Juicy Tubes glosses? What is your favorite gloss for everyday wear?
